How AI data brokerage works, the two brokers Sirole supports, your part in it, and how to use Sirole from your first search to a printed letter.
1. What AI data brokers do for AI labs
AI models learned to read and write from the public internet. Now AI labs want them to do real work, and the internet rarely shows how that work gets done inside a company: how a law firm drafts a contract, how an accountant closes the books, how a support team resolves a ticket. Companies hold years of exactly that experience in their emails, documents, tickets and business systems.
AI data brokers connect the two. They find companies with useful records, help them work out what those records are worth, prepare the data and license it to AI labs, and the company is paid.
How they do it responsibly
- The company stays in control. Nothing is shared until the company agrees, and it decides what is included.
- Identifying details are removed first. Names, contact details, accounts and other identifying information are stripped or replaced before any AI lab sees the data.
- Sensitive data stays out. Material such as privileged legal advice, patient and health data, payment details and classified or export-controlled information is excluded.
- No disruption. Records are shared through a read-only connection or an export the company runs itself, so day-to-day work carries on as normal.
- Clear agreements. The terms are set out in writing, so the company and its lawyer can review them before signing.
2. The brokers on Sirole
Grepped AI
Grepped helps companies earn from expertise only they have. AI labs want “expertise traces”: records of how skilled work actually gets done, such as messages showing decisions and reasoning, codebases, documents, data exported from business systems, and tickets and project work from brief to result.
- Workspaces connect read-only, and identifying information is stripped before anything leaves processing.
- Buyers see only redacted previews, and the data stays under the company’s control until it approves a listing.
- A company can get a free, private estimate in about two minutes, without listing anything.
- Grepped estimates a company’s data can be worth $20K to $5M, and companies are paid in as little as 7 days after a purchase.
- Its referral program pays up to $100k per completed referral.
Micro1
Micro1 licenses companies’ operational data to AI labs: how work moves between a company’s tools, not its customer lists, pricing or trade secrets. In Micro1’s words, labs want to see how the kitchen runs, not the secret recipe.
- It looks for companies with 30 or more employees, strong operational maturity and plenty of internal documentation: SOPs, knowledge bases, CRM data, project histories, QA processes and operational communications. Companies in the US come first.
- The company runs a historical export itself, guided by Micro1’s engineers. There is no live access to its systems.
- Data is anonymized and de-identified before any AI lab sees it, raw data is deleted within 120 days, and the company keeps ownership.
- Companies typically receive between $200K and $2M, depending on their size and history.
- Its referral program pays $50k per completed referral.
These details come from the brokers’ own materials and can change. Check with the broker for the latest.
3. Your role: outreach
Sirole drafts a printable letter and a set of outreach ideas for each company you choose, to post or hand to receptionists, managers and owners when you visit. Create an account to keep your letters and ideas in your library and to have your referral links ready to print on them.
Your job is the introduction: get interested companies to fill in the broker’s form through your referral link. The broker takes it from there, handling the conversation, security questions and the licensing agreement with the company. When a referred company completes a deal, the broker pays your commission under its own referral terms, usually within 7 to 60 days of the deal.
- Always say who you are: an independent referral partner, not an employee of the broker.
- Never ask a company for its data, files or logins. The broker handles all of that directly.
- If a company says no, thank them and move on.
4. Getting your referral links
- Open the Referral page (the link icon in the sidebar, or “Referral links” in the mobile menu).
- On the broker’s card, click Get your referral link. It opens the broker’s referral site: Grepped’s referral portal, or Micro1’s partner registration.
- Sign up there and accept the broker’s referral terms. Then copy your personal referral link from your dashboard on the broker’s site.
- Back on Sirole’s Referral page, paste each link into Your referral links and click Save (you need to be signed in).
- Your saved link is printed on your letters, with a QR code the company can scan. You track your referrals and commissions on the broker’s own site.
5. Using Sirole, from search to library
Search
- Start at Search and enter where you live or work: country, state or province, city and address. Sirole checks the address is real before searching.
- Choose a broker and one of 21 industry categories, then click See companies near you.
- Sirole’s AI searches the web for companies near you that fit that broker’s criteria for the category, and lists up to 10 with their website and office address. When only a few companies fit, it lists only those.
- On mobile, tap a company’s name to see its full details.
Save list
- Save a list to keep it in your library. You keep one saved list per broker and category; saving a new one replaces it.
- If you switch broker or category before saving, Sirole asks whether to save the current list first.
Generate
- Click Generate on a company to write a short, printable letter introducing it to the broker, and a set of ideas for approaching it in person: who to ask for, what to say, and how to follow up.
Library
- Your Library holds your saved lists, letters and ideas, sorted by broker and category. Back to search returns to the list you generated from.
- Save as PDF on a letter asks for your name, email and phone to sign it. They are used once to make the PDF and never stored.
- Select a letter or idea and click Delete to remove it, or delete a whole saved list.
Free to use
- Without an account, you can run one search after accepting cookies.
- With an account, you can run 3 searches and Generate 5 sets of letters and ideas per day. The limits reset at midnight UTC.
